How I decided to be a therapist

My journey into therapy began with a deep curiosity about how people can find healing, inner peace, and live meaningful lives. I was captivated by the fundamental question of how individuals can discover their true selves and live better lives. This curiosity led me to explore the diverse disciplines of art therapy, mental health counseling, and cultural studies. I don't see therapy as only a career but also as a calling.

How I would like to help clients as a therapist

I view therapy as a collaborative effort with my clients. I aim to create a safe environment where clients feel profoundly understood and valued. I empower clients to take the lead in shaping their path towards positive change. As a therapist, I offer guidance and support on their journey to a new way of living that encompasses insights, awareness, self-acceptance, self-compassion, a deeper understanding of the connection between the mind and body, and a more embracing relationship with their inner world. My primary goal is to be alongside clients as they navigate life's challenges.

What my theoretical orientation is as a therapist

My therapeutic orientation draws on evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). In addition to traditional therapeutic methods, I incorporate therapeutic art techniques and role-play techniques when they are beneficial. I adhere to an integrative approach, recognizing the individuality of each client and tailoring therapy to meet their specific needs and goals. It enables clients to develop effective coping strategies and progress toward achieving their personal goals.
