How I decided to be a therapist

I have a deep compassion for individuals who experience mental health challenges and the difficulties they face in a society where their struggles are often dismissed and stigmatized. My goal is to provide support and make sure that no one feels isolated. It would be my privilege to accompany you on your journey as a therapist.

How I would like to help clients as a therapist

I believe that therapy is comprised of two essential elements: a healthy relationship and gaining new perspectives. I will work towards building a healthy therapeutic relationship with you throughout our journey. I will maintain authenticity in our interactions, and may also provide you with reading materials or worksheet to reinforce the learning that takes place during therapy sessions. I place a strong emphasis on setting measurable goals, and together, we will strive towards noticeable and tangible changes.

What my theoretical orientation is as a therapist

My theoretical approach is eclectic, and I specialize in working with adults. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in my counseling sessions, incorporating techniques such as mindfulness-based practices, and creative expression through writing and drawing. With years of experience working in addiction units, I am also equipped to work on addiction-related issues, using motivational interviewing techniques. I believe in continuous improvement and am committed to studying and providing the best treatment for my clients.
