How I decided to be a therapist

Choosing to become a speech-language pathologist felt like connecting the dots of my past experiences. My engagement in voice performance and teaching wasn’t just academic; it was a window into the power of communication. These pursuits revealed the essence of human connection and self-expression, leading me naturally to speech-language pathology, where I can merge my passion for communication with a desire to make a meaningful difference. This journey is about helping others find their voice and engage with the world in their own unique ways.

How I would like to help clients as a therapist

As a SLP, my goal is to enhance clients' communication abilities in a supportive and empathetic environment. I focus on tailored approaches that respect individual needs and cultural backgrounds. My experience with both adults and children equips me with effective strategies for a range of communication challenges. My role is to provide steady support, empowering clients to master their communication challenges and turn them into opportunities for growth and self-expression.

What my theoretical orientation is as a therapist

I integrate evidence-based methodologies with insights from my background in voice performance and teaching, emphasizing a holistic view of language development. This approach allows me to create comprehensive, personalized therapy plans that consider technical, emotional, and psychological aspects of communication. I believe in early intervention and family involvement to support and reinforce progress made in therapy sessions.
