How I decided to be a therapist
The power of human connection and the potential for healing that it holds fascinates me. I am intrigued by the complexities of the human mind and the ways in which our thoughts and emotions can shape our experiences of the world around us. My decision to become a therapist was driven by a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and healing, and I am honored to be able to support my clients on their journey towards greater well-being and self-actualization.
How I would like to help clients as a therapist
I am driven by a strong desire to help people navigate life's challenges and build the mental tools they need to cope with adversity. I believe that mental health is a critical aspect of overall well-being, and that by helping individuals develop a healthy mindset, I can make a positive impact on society.
My goal as a therapist is to empower my clients to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. I believe that by providing a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions, I can help them to build resilience and develop the skills necessary to navigate life.
I am deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others, and I believe that mental health is a critical component of achieving that goal. I look forward to working with clients to help them achieve their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.
What my theoretical orientation is as a therapist
My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on helping clients with trauma, anxiety, depression, etc. to understand core beliefs and identify emotions. I work with clients to challenge negative thoughts and behaviors. My approach to CBT is grounded in empathy, non-judgment, and unconditional positive regard for each client's complex and nuanced experiences. I aim to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable examining thoughts and feelings. I use CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, practicing mindfulness, and increasing emotional awareness to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals. I believe that by equipping clients with new skills and coping strategies, clients can become empowered and construct meaning in their lives.
