How I decided to be a therapist

Initially, my interest in the field of mental health revolved around conducting research on treatments for mental disorders and examining the long-term effects of interpersonal trauma. Subsequently, while volunteering, I encountered a face-to-face experience that redirected my passion towards clinical work and direct services. This experience catalyzed me to discover my love for providing direct services and working with patients on an intimate level.

How I would like to help clients as a therapist

As a trauma-informed therapist, I strive to create a supportive and safe environment for anyone who enters my office. I aim to make my clients feel heard, validated, and empowered and to help them rediscover their internal and external strengths and resilience. Together, we will work towards fulfilling their goals and reaching their full potential.

I have been providing services to the military community since 2019, and I understand that military life can often create unique emotional and environmental challenges. With my extensive training in the areas of PTSD, complex trauma, sexual trauma, EMDR, dissociation, and mindfulness-based interventions, I hope to accompany my clients through their healing journey and help them overcome these challenges.

What my theoretical orientation is as a therapist

My approach to treatment is integrative and holistic, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. I draw from various therapeutic modalities to provide the most effective care possible.

  • Trauma-focused therapies: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and trauma-informed mindfulness interventions,

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • Mindfulness-based Interventions: Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Compassion-Focused Therapy

  • Client-Centered Therapy
