How I decided to be a therapist

I've always been curious about people's life stories and impactful experiences that shape each person. I decided to become a therapist to fully utilize my natural curiosities about people to help others live more meaningful and fulfilling lives through evidence-based clinical practice.

How I would like to help clients as a therapist

I would like to help clients with depression and anxiety by guiding them to discover their core values, uncovering their thinking patterns, and collaborating with them on short-term action plans that will help them reach their goals. And for those suffering from chronic insomnia, I incorporate CBT-I techniques to assess and address sleep problems which has proved to greatly enhance mental well-being.

What my theoretical orientation is as a therapist

I believe that each client can learn to be their own therapist. My approach is to provide sufficient psychoeducation while utilizing CBT and CBT-I techniques to support the practice of addressing and evaluating one's thoughts to support the client towards behaviors that help them to live according to their own values.
