How I decided to be a therapist

Since I was young, I have wanted to know myself better, which led me to study philosophy, theology, and psychology. Studying these theories and encountering many individuals suffering from personal, emotional, and interpersonal issues, I decided to become a therapist who could help them. I believe that, like myself, others can overcome various life challenges by gaining a deeper understanding of themselves. Later, I realized that it was a calling for me.

How I would like to help clients as a therapist

As a therapist, my primary goal is to provide clients with supportive and effective care so that they feel heard, understood, and validated. I believe that every individual deserves a safe space to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment or criticism. So my approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and collaboration. I understand that each client is unique, with their own set of experiences, challenges, and strengths. So, I approach therapy with a client-centered perspective, tailoring my interventions to meet the specific needs and goals of each individual. I involve the client in setting realistic and achievable objectives. The treatment plan is then tailored to address those goals. I regularly review and adjust the plan based on the client’s progress.

What my theoretical orientation is as a therapist

As a therapist, I often use multiple theoretical orientations and techniques, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy, to best meet the unique needs and preferences of each client. I believe that no single approach fits all clients or situations perfectly, so I prefer to integrate different theories and techniques in my practice. I help clients feel empowered as they work towards positive change.
